Infertility

Infertility can be emotionally devastating for would-be parents. There are some women who are truly unable physically to conceive or bear a child. In many cases, however, infertility is due to physical and/or emotional causes which can be addressed through Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs. In many cases, the menstrual cycle must be regulated first and, as we have already mentioned, Chinese Medicine can be very effective at this. There is always an emotional component, and the calming nature of Acupuncture can help you relax so that you are in a more optimal emotional condition to conceive. In cases of systemic weaknesses, Chinese Herbs and Food Therapy can help tonify the body to support the physical demands of pregnancy.

Post-partum conditions

Giving birth is a major spiritual and emotional process, but it is above all a physical process, which can often be somewhat traumatic. It is the culmination of nine months of dynamic physical changes to your body. After birth, your body must rebalance itself as hormone levels return to their normal cycles, muscles and tendons and other organs relax, heal, and move back into their normal places. This rebalancing process can be difficult for some women, and can give rise to a number of common conditions.
